Sunkist Memorial Scholarship-
To provide funds for undergraduate students from agricultural backgrounds who are in need of financial assistance to further their educations.
Qualifications are:
1) a background in California or Arizona agriculture - the student or someone in the student's immediate family must have derived the majority of his or her income from agriculture;
2) Financial need: and
3) GPA and extracurricular activites indicative of potential fro success.

COACHELLA, CA (April 17, 2014) … The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians supports students to achieve their dreams of higher education with their annual Theresa A. Mike Scholarship. The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship is organized for the purpose of recognizing the talent of young adults who are interested in furthering their education and who have a dedication to themselves and the betterment of the communities in which they live. Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted. The deadline to apply is May 31st, 2014.
The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation has been contributing to students’ educational dreams since 1998 with more than $350,000 given in scholarships to more than 400 deserving recipients. A total of 86 students were awarded scholarships totaling $69,950 in 2013 out of 92 applications received. The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation hopes to provide as many or more students with scholarships this year, ranging from $500 to $5,000 each. The scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, living expenses and books for those attending any accredited institution including a university, college/community college or technical school.
Scholarships awarded are based on students submitting a completed application. Factors include:
 3.0 grade point average or higher
 2-page, double spaced, 12 point font written essay with minimum word count of 1,000 words or more
 All sections of the application completed
 Two recent letters of recommendation from non-family members
 Official high school or most recent education transcripts
 Proof of acceptance/ enrollment from the university, college/community college or technical school
 List of honors, activities, and community service

About The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation:
The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation was started by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians in 1998 to honor the memory of Theresa A. Mike, who was committed to developing a sense of cultural richness, history, and future for the people of her tribe. The mission of the Foundation is to enhance the education of Native Americans and other deserving students, in reaching their education goals and to extend the outreach to our communities. The Foundation relies on donations to make its mission possible.

Incight PD has been a part of our Portland's scholarship process for the past 8 years but are separating our scholarships to be Coachella Valley exclusively.  That is to say they must be a resident of the CV but may be attending college elsewhere.  The Cara Hrycyk Scholarship is awarded to a CVUSD student only.  Incight's awards are valley wide.  As my website is under development students will have to complete by hand and email or mail to me. We are looking for students with ANY disability.  They don't necessarily need to be in special education but more likely on a 504 or not receiving services at all.  They should be students with a disability who have clearly indicated they are college bound and have the academic history that would indicate they are likely of achieving this goal.

The Pathways to Success Scholarship Program invites Coachella Valley residents who plan to enroll full-time at any accredited college or university in the U.S. to apply for a one or two-year scholarship. American Legion Legacy Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Child/children or legally adopted child/children or a child of a spouse by a prior marriage or dependent child as defined by the United States Armed Services for active duty personnel of the United States military and National Guard, and military reservists who were federalized and die on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. Applicants to the Robert Diaz Memorial Scholarship Fund: Coach Rob Diaz SOAR Award must be -
 High school seniors attending Coachella Valley High School who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. A $1,000 award will be granted to one senior girl and one senior boy.
Awards are one time and are for undergraduate study only.


Interested students must complete the application and mail it along with a current, complete transcript of grades to Scholarship Management Services postmarked no later than March 22. Grade reports are not acceptable. Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application. If an acknowledgment card is not received within four weeks, applicants may call Scholarship Management Services to verify that the application has been received.
Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible.
